Since this is a blog and I am a writer, I guess a couple of announcements about what I'm doing currently would not be out of order. And if they are out of order, well, who will notice?
Anyway, I retired from my government job and am currently focused on writing. I've made a bit of progress on a new Richard Paladin book, and I'm about to release another book. It's titled A Feast of Famine and deals with an armed, humanitarian intervention in a small African nation beset by anarchy and starvation. I think it's a dark comedy. Guess I'll see what others think if anyone reads it and comments.
We'll see how long this "David, writer, retired government wonk" gig lasts. You, dear readers, can prolong this state of affairs by buying my books, or hurry me back to the government sector by ignoring me. Your call!
As for Falco and Puck, they're getting a lot more walks with "David, writer, retired government wonk" around more of the time. They're hoping this lasts awhile!
Double congratulations seem to be in order. First I'll raise a glass to your retirement. Congrats on the new book set in Africa. Seeing I'm a fan of yours, I'll definitely be grabbing it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the congrats, J.P. Hope all is well with you. Hey, saw where the "Queen of the Pacific" got released from a Mexican Prison last week. She seems like a character out of The Tangled Web!
